Simon Ekpa, a self- proclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, has made a shocking allegation, claiming that a man disowned his son for joining the Nigerian Army.
In a video in posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, as cited by the LATEST_NEWS Blog, Ekpa, who described the Nigerian Army as the ” Nigerian Terrorist Organisation, ” stated that the man, in a video he shared online, lamented that his son should have joined the Biafran army instead of joining the Nigerian army.
Ekpa’ s statement read ” Father disowned his son for joining the Nigeria terrorist organisation @HQNigerianArmy and said if he want to join army, it should be the Biafra army. ”
In another report, in a bold move to combat terrorism, the Nigerian Army, in partnership with other security agencies, has successfully neutralized several terrorists and arrested a notorious arms courier linked to a wanted terrorist. The operation also resulted in the rescue of numerous kidnapped victims and the recovery of weapons.
The Army made the announcement on its social media platform on Wednesday night, highlighting the success of the recent coordinated efforts. According to the statement, the troops conducted multiple operations that dealt significant blows to terrorist groups in different regions of the country.
On September 3, 2024, troops stationed in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State carried out a raid on a known terrorist hideout in the Mandara Mountains. During the operation, a fierce gun battle ensued, but the troops successfully overpowered the terrorists. As a result, 24 hostages, who had been held by the terrorists, were rescued unharmed.
Following the firefight, a thorough search of the area led to the discovery of weapons and ammunition. The troops recovered 11 rounds of 7. 62mm ammunition, a magazine for an AK- 47 rifle, a Dane gun, and other essential items used by the terrorists.
In another operation that took place in Kaduna State, the Nigerian Army, on a mission to dismantle a kidnappers’ den, neutralized one criminal in Kabode village, located in Kachia Local Government Area. The rest of the criminals fled, leaving behind four hostages who were promptly rescued by the troops.
In this operation, the troops recovered one AK- 47 rifle, 10 rounds of 7. 62mm special ammunition, six motorcycles, and three mobile phones, all of which had been used by the kidnappers for their illicit activities.
The Nigerian Army emphasized its commitment to safeguarding the nation and eradicating terrorism and criminality. They reiterated that they will continue their operations across the country to ensure peace and security for all Nigerians.
