WAR DECLARED! Nigerians In Shock As Brave Governor Joins Soldiers To Attack Deadly Bandits; See Whom They Rescued
In a remarkable show of courage and leadership, the governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umaru Radda, personally led a joint security operation to repel an attack by bandits on Zakka village and rescue a 33- year- old man who was kidnapped by the criminals. The incident happened on Saturday, when Governor Radda was attending an empowerment programme in Safana Local Government Area. He got a distress call about the impending attack and immediately abandoned the programme to join the security operation.
” Governor Radda received an intelligence report on the planned terrorist attack around 1pm and swiftly left the colourful empowerment programme of the Deputy Speaker of the Katsina House of Assembly, ” Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, said in a statement.
” He and some members of his entourage joined a combined team of security personnel, consisting of the Nigerian Police, the Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji, the Ground troops of the Nigerian Army, and the Community Watch Corps, to confront the terrorists at Zakka forest, before they could advance to the hills. ”
According to the spokesperson, the security forces engaged the bandits in a fierce gun battle that lasted for about 30 minutes. He said some of the bandits were killed while others fled the scene. The security forces successfully rescued the abducted man, who was shot in the leg and given immediate medical attention.
