This breakthrough was announced by the spokesperson of the Imo Police Command, Henry Okoye, in a statement released on Thursday.
The arrest unfolded in Oru West Local Government Area of Imo State, orchestrated by the diligent operatives of the Command’ s Anti- Kidnapping Squad, under the leadership of CSP Oladimeji Odeyeyiwa. The operation, executed on December 16, saw the apprehension of Uba alongside three other suspects.

According to Okoye, Uba, when interrogated, confessed to being a member of the ESN, holding a commanding role in the Mgbidi axis. He went on to admit orchestrating attacks on Omuma Police Station, as well as assaults on soldiers at Mgbidi and Awo- Mmama.
Shockingly, Uba revealed that he received funding from Simon Ekpa, based in Finland, to execute terrorist activities within the state.
