PDP Governors Forum Commends President Tinubu’s Appointment of Nyesom Wike as FCT Minister
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing the former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The forum made this acknowledgment during a courtesy visit to the FCT Minister, amid ongoing political turmoil in the Rivers State Government House.
Bala Mohammed, the chairman of the forum and former FCT Minister, praised President Tinubu for selecting Wike for the position, despite his affiliation with the opposition party. In his words, “At the risk of being accused of flattery, we really appreciate Mr. President and Nyesom Wike. Again, giving him this office at the FCT, which is like a state, in spite of the fact that he is still one of us as a PDP member, has shown the kind of leadership that Mr. President has displayed.”
