The alleged threats came shortly after Ude made a controversial post on X (formerly Twitter), where he claimed that Akpabio broke his hip and lost $100, 000 during a scuffle with a lady in a hotel. According to Ude, the incident occurred when the lady refused oral sex, opting instead for traditional intercourse as per their initial agreement.
In his post, Ude alleged that an audio recording in his possession confirmed that Akpabio sustained the injury in late December 2024. He further claimed that after the lady rejected oral sex, a struggle ensued, during which she pushed Akpabio, causing him to fall and fracture his hip.
Ude stated that during the chaos, the lady reportedly took $100, 000 from Akpabio’ s Louis Vuitton bag and fled the room. The Senate President, he claimed, was left crawling for his phone to seek help.
According to Ude, attempts were allegedly made to apprehend the lady through the intermediary who introduced her to Akpabio. However, she reportedly threatened to expose further details, leading to the matter being dropped.
Ude also asserted that Akpabio has been walking with a cane since the incident but has been telling friends and associates that he sustained the injury from a bathroom fall. The journalist further claimed that Akpabio has a reputation for womanising and an alleged preference for oral sex due to what Ude described as medical- related erectile issues.
Following these allegations, supporters of the Senate President and other social media users reacted with mixed opinions. Some dismissed Ude’ s claims as baseless, while others demanded evidence to substantiate his assertions.

Hours after his initial post, Ude returned to X, alleging that he had been receiving calls from Akpabio’ s friends— some pleading with him, while others allegedly issued threats.
