The Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG) has been in huge mourning following the recent announcement of a 17- year- old boy (a son to a top RCCG Pastor) who was murdered by Gunmen.

Tragedy struck in a community close to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, when terrorists, locally dubbed as bandits, killed the son of a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) pastor, while abducting his wife in the process.
The event occurred in Mararaba, a Nasarawa State village near Abuja.
According to the source, the minister, Austin Ifeji, was ambushed by highly armed bandits in his residence in Gwagwalade, Mararaba, near Abuja, early Monday morning.
It was reported that the pastor, Ifeji, fled with machete cuts, causing the bandits to kidnap his wife. At the same time, the kidnappers shot his son, who attempted to defend his mother and inflicted additional matchet cuts on him in front of his other siblings.
It was alleged that after killing the son, the bandits kidnapped the widow and demanded a ransom of N30 million.
It is unknown whether she has been released as of the time of this story. According to sources, efforts to revive the son in the hospital failed.
” The boy is his parents’ sole son, and he has four other girls. He was upset about how they were mistreating his mother, so he approached the kidnappers, who shot him, ” a source said.
SP Rahman Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Nasarawa State Police Command, stated that the command was unaware of the event.
