“They Turned Church To Party Place”- Pastor Chris Oyakhilome REVEALS Why Sinach, Other Gospel Musicians Left Christ Embassy
The founder of LoveWorld, Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has finally broken his silence on the departure of several gospel musicians, including Sinach, Joe Praize, Frank Edwards, and Eben, from his church.
Recall that a few years ago, these gospel singers left Christ Embassy, where they started their music careers, sparking rumors that they were no longer allowed to minister elsewhere. The tension reportedly began when Sinach participated in ” The Experience, ” an annual interdenominational program organized by Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on the Rock.
However, in a recent video, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has revealed the real reason behind their departure. According to him, he stopped working with them because they had lost sight of their primary purpose– celebrating God.

Oyakhilome explained that the church had become more of a party place than a prayer place, where God’ s word was truly celebrated. He stated that the musicians were no longer soul winners, but rather professionals making money from the church.
In his words, ” They were not celebrating God; they were celebrating themselves. . they were not soul winners; they led praise in church, and when it was time for prayers, they were gone. They charged for their singing, and they became professionals making money from the church, and many pastors didn’ t know that this was the world coming into the church”
He further revealed that he had tried to get them to change their ways, but they refused and eventually stopped following him. Oyakhilome emphasized that he hopes they will repent and return to their roots.
Here are the comments;
Gbenga Aj: This man actually raised a lot of famous gospel artists let’ s give it to him and if he says he’ s done with whatever he’ s talking it’ s best known to him and God, but I really respect him.
Noble Osinachi: ” Do they even know what money is? ” I love that
Dj Hollat: This conversation is not for the church leaders who don’ t regard or promote talents under them. Before and after fame, Pastor Chris took care of many of these artists and shared his international platforms with them with full support.
Bode Olugbore: You better ask them for their part of the story, so you don’ t offend God. For me, it is a father who threw his children away for some reasons! ! ! God isn’ t like that!
Estah Official: His problem is they became more popular than him and he could no longer control them. That’ s his real issue so let’ s move on from all this sugar costing.
Edo Aproko: Excellent
Ley Conno: Wow! If Pastor Chris would say this. Most are so worldly
I Am Dani Andi: What then? Notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
Tamtam Diana Claire: No truer words than this they turned the Church to something totally different. . . thank God things are getting way better
