ABUJA DEMOLITIONS! Angry Soldiers Attack Wike’s Men, Beat Them Mercilessly After Attempting To Demolish Army General’s Property
On Wednesday, soldiers reportedly acting on the orders of an army general launched an assault on development control officials in Sabon Lugbe, Abuja, who were conducting an operation to remove illegal structures in the area. The officials were specifically targeting the fence of a property located on Plot 416, which is said to belong to a Major General.
According to an official from the development control department, the incident unfolded during the enforcement operation. As the officials began the removal process, the Major General became aware of the situation and dispatched two soldiers to the site to investigate. The soldiers arrived in a vehicle with covered number plates and blocked the officials’ exit, threatening that someone would die if the operation continued.
One of the soldiers, identified as Private Jamilu, allegedly confronted the caterpillar operator, brandishing his rifle and demanding that he disembark from the machinery or face immediate gunfire. The caterpillar operator complied, but was quickly seized by the soldiers, who physically assaulted him and tore his shirt during the struggle.
In a show of force, Private Jamilu fired shots into the caterpillar’ s tires, rendering the machinery inoperable. He then contacted the Major General, who arrived on the scene with additional soldiers. Upon his arrival, the Major General issued orders for the soldiers to take enforcement officials, including Sector Sodangi and his site officer, to his residence. The officials were reportedly beaten both outside and inside the Major General’ s house, where they were held captive for several hours.
