” God laid it on my heart that my role in ministry is beyond the walls of a single church. ”
” I realized I could achieve more by helping other churches and ministers, especially women who struggle to find their place in ministry, ” she said.
She also mentioned the difficulties of running a church in Nigeria’ s socioeconomic conditions.
” Running a church requires more than just spiritual guidance; it demands financial and administrative stability, which has become increasingly difficult for many ministers, ” she stated.
Regarding Nigeria’ s greater socioeconomic challenges, Otuya stated, ” The world is going through a phase, and Nigeria is not isolated. ”
” Many things are at play, including God, Satan, and human activities. Nothing happens without God’ s knowledge or approval, but mankind must acknowledge their involvement in the unfolding events” .
Otuya raised worry about the pressure on female ministers, she stated; ” women in ministry face unique challenges, from societal biases to financial struggles. ”
” My goal now is to mentor and support other female ministers through platforms like the KOGA Faith Foundation, ” she said.
The bishop underscored that closing her church does not mean the end of her work, but rather a change in focus.
She stated; ” My calling has always been to help others grow, by stepping away from leading a single church, I will be able to impact more lives and expand God’ s work on a larger scale. ”
