Sagamu Turns BLOODY As Unknown Gunmen Paint Palace Red With Blood; You Won’t Believe Who Was Killed
On Monday night, 8th January 2024, a traditional ruler named, Chief Abiodun Folarin of Sagamu, Bashorun Akarigbo, was murdered in cold blood by gunmen suspected to be hired assassins, as claimed by the security authorities of the Ogun State Police Command on Tuesday, 9th January 2024.

Sadly, around 10: 45 p. m on Monday, the killers of the deceased who were three in numbers arrived in a Toyota Camry after which they forced their way into palace of the traditional chief in Itunsokun, Sagamu. It was reported that the attackers fired several gunshots into the air to frighten the residents, then immediately went after their target and killed him, leaving the scene without taking anything.
The deceased, who was buried on Tuesday in accordance with Islamic customs and traditions, was also said to be the Baasegun of the Itunsokun community in Sagamu.
However, the Superintendent of Police, SP Omolola Odutola, the spokeswoman and public relations officer (PPRO) for the Ogun State Police Command, verified the unfortunate occurrence to local news reporters saying, ” the terrifying incident happened on Monday night at about 10: 45pm at Itunsokun residence of the deceased. The victim’ s name is Bashorun Abiodun Folarin. He is said to be the Bashorun Akarigbo” .
