Remi Tinubu Drops Hopeful Message To Nigerians, Reveals Tinubu’s Decision To Alleviate Economic Woes In Nigeria
Nigeria’ s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has continued to re- affirm the commitment of the administration to the general welfare of the citizens especially in the area of health. During her speech on Wednesday at the event marking the silver jubilee celebration of the NHA, she called for the provision of quality healthcare services to citizens at reasonable cost.
The occasion; a dinner held to mark the 25th anniversary of quality services and expertise care for the people was attended by various government agencies, members in the health sector and other stakeholders. Speaking further, Senator Tinubu thanked the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Pate, the C. M. D of NHA, Prof. Muhammad Raji and all the staff for the ugly and relentless hard work in the actualization of improved health care delivery.
” It is the right of every Nigerian to be attended to by a good healthcare provider irrespective of their station in life, ” she affirmed. ” The Federal Government, with the leadership of President Tinubu, has laid serious progress to reconstruct the healthcare system in Nigeria. ”
Speaking further, Mrs. Tinubu extolled the National Hospital as being crucial in providing healthcare to all the citizens of Nigerian. Specifically, she encouraged its staff and management to be strong and aim for the best, to keep on being a blessing to people’ s lives.
” Going forward, I encourage the members of staff and management of this great hospital to work harder and achieve better and be consistent so that you can continue to transform the lives of many people who require quality health care services, ” she said.
Recalling the history of the hospital, the First Lady was pleased that the family support programme of the first family of Nigeria under the leadership of former First Lady Hajia Maryam Abacha in 1999 sowed the seed to establish the hospital. , which was initially established to provide services to women and children only, was later directed to function as a referral hospital for all Nigerians.
To honor this tradition, the Radiotherapy Centre within the hospital has now been christened the Mariam Abacha Radiotherapy Centre.
Highlighting the importance of investing in healthcare, the First Lady called on stakeholders to support initiatives that enhance the sector. ” The health of our people is paramount, and investing in it ensures a stronger and more resilient nation, ” she said.
