UNBELIEVABLE! ! Tenant Beats Up His Landlord With The Help Of His Children, See Shocking Thing That Happened After
In a concerning legal matter, a 44- year- old tenant, Chris Okoye, residing at 2A Niger Avenue Villa Nova, Apo, faced charges of criminal conspiracy, intimidation, force, assault, and causing hurt. The Kabusa Grade I Area Court in Abuja took action on Friday by ordering the remand of Okoye after a plea hearing.
Malam Abubakar Sadiq, the presiding Judge, issued the remand order following a careful consideration of the defendant’ s plea. Okoye, however, maintained his plea of not guilty to the charges leveled against him.
The genesis of the case unfolded when Mr. Ochengele Isaac, the landlord, reported the incident at the Apo Police Station on January 3. According to the prosecutor, O. S. Osho, the complaint outlined a distressing scenario wherein the defendant, along with his two children and an individual named Gideon (currently evading authorities), subjected the landlord to physical assault, causing significant injuries.
As the court delved into the details presented by the prosecution, it became evident that the defendant’ s two children and Gideon were now at large, potentially complicating the pursuit of justice in this matter. The gravity of the charges, including criminal conspiracy and assault, underscored the severity of the alleged offense. Malam Abubakar Sadiq, while adjourning the case, set the next hearing date for January 16. This decision allows for the legal process to unfold, giving both the prosecution and defense an opportunity to present their cases and for the court to determine the appropriate course of action.
