Primate Ayodele, Servant of the Most High God, Founder and Leader of INRI Spiritual Evangelical Church based in Lagos, Nigeria, has revealed that the new tax regime which is been sought by the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administration has good intentions.
On Friday, Primate Ayodele was giving a speech in his church’ s global headquarters in Ejigbo, Lagos. He insisted that Nigeria as a whole will gain from the tax system.
Primate Ayodele, however, voiced concerns about its results, stating that there is a chance that the tax will be mismanaged. He claimed to have witnessed corruption and poor management undermining the tax system’ s well- meaning goals.
He said; ” It would be great, if the tax system is managed well” .
He revealed that he fears the tax system’ s unfavorable aspects and unviability.
” It is a positive development, but the reality is that it can impact the impoverished, ” Ayodele stated.
” But it’ s about how it’ s mismanaged; if it’ s handled well, that will be great, and it will at least benefit the nation.
” However, I am worried about its negative effects and sustainability since I believe corruption would taint the agenda.
Primate Ayodele stated with prophetic finality, ” So it is a good development, it will start on a very good note but looking at it, it would not bear fruit at the end of the day. ”
