Red ALERT For BANK Users, From N500M To 54 Kobo- Verydarkman Raises Alarm Regarding Financial Institution, See What He Exposed
Nigerian activist and influential social media personality, VeryDarkMan, has exposed a startling inheritance scandal involving Access Bank and a contentious N500 million fortune.
This unfolding drama is raising serious concerns about the transparency of Nigeria’ s banking institutions and their handling of customers’ assets.
The controversy revolves around the late Mr. Edongesi Edet, who passed away on April 17, 2019. Before his demise, Mr. Edet allegedly confided in his sister, Basi Edet, about his substantial financial assets held in various Nigerian banks, including GT Bank, Keystone Bank, and Access Bank.
Armed with a Letter of Administration from the Kaduna High Court, Basi successfully accessed funds amounting to N10 million from GT Bank and N2. 9 million from Keystone Bank. However, her efforts to retrieve the N500 million purportedly held in Access Bank have been met with resistance, turning the case into a national spectacle.
VeryDarkMan revealed in a video that Access Bank denied the existence of Mr. Edet’ s account, despite the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) confirming the accounts linked to his BVN.
The bank reportedly provided incomplete records and failed to deliver a comprehensive account statement. According to a 2020 statement from Access Bank, the account was dormant since its creation in 2016, with a meager balance of 54 kobo.
This claim has sparked outrage, as it directly contradicts other evidence, raising questions about the bank’ s transparency and potential foul play.
The activist has demanded clarity on the missing account records between 2016 and 2020, calling this gap a glaring indication of possible misconduct. He didn’ t stop at exposing the issue; he also issued a stern warning to Access Bank customers.
In his message, he urged them to remain vigilant, closely monitor their accounts, and demand accountability from financial institutions.
In his post accompanying the video, VeryDarkMan emphasized the importance of thorough investigation, stating, ” If you have an Access Bank account, pay attention to this. Your future and generations may depend on this. ”

He further urged that the allegations should not be ignored and called for an in- depth inquiry to uncover the truth.
This case has not only raised eyebrows but has also highlighted the need for stricter oversight of financial institutions in Nigeria to ensure customer trust and safeguard assets.
