In a chilling turn of events, a man identified as Osa is accused of committing a heinous act, allegedly sacrificing his girlfriend, Elohor Oniorosa, in pursuit of money through a ritualistic ceremony. The grim incident unfolded on Christmas Eve in the suburbs of Egor Local Government Area, Benin, Edo State, as Osa reportedly lured Elohor to his family home, where he is said to have carried out the unthinkable act.
The Edo State Police Command has initiated a fervent manhunt for the suspect, who is now on the run. While the specifics surrounding the murder remain unclear, SP Kontongs Bello, the spokesperson for the Edo Police Command, has confirmed the tragic occurrence. The father of the deceased, William Oniorosa, bravely reported the incident to the police, setting in motion a quest for justice.
Offering insight into the unfolding tragedy, Bello shared, ” The suspect’ s name is Osas, surname unknown, who is a boyfriend of Elohor Oniorosa, daughter of one William Oniorosa, who reported that incident to the police. The investigation is ongoing. Meanwhile, the suspect is on the run. The incident happened on 24/12/2023. ”
This shocking event echoes a disturbing trend, reminiscent of a similar occurrence in Osun State just a few months prior. In that case, the Osun State Police Command apprehended Kabiru Oyedun, 39, who was found in possession of dismembered body parts belonging to a young girl. Collaborating with an accomplice named Akin, currently at large, the suspects were alleged to have committed the gruesome act, involving the killing of the girl and extraction of vital organs.
