Human rights activist and AAC presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has raised doubts about the reported death of Ondo State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu. Sowore, known for his vocal stance, is urging a transparent verification of Akeredolu’ s demise, expressing skepticism about the information provided by the late governor’ s family.
In an interview on Arise News TV, Sowore voiced his concerns, highlighting inconsistencies in the body language of Akeredolu’ s wife and son. He emphasized the need to verify the time and location of the governor’ s death, challenging the family’ s narrative that he passed away in Germany.
Sowore questioned the honesty of the information disclosed to the public, suggesting a potential ulterior motive, such as misappropriation of public funds.
He said, ” This substantive governor visited the home of the late Governor Akeredolu today (Thursday). You see the demeanour of the wife and the contempt in the way he was looking at this governor who had just come to visit, you know that it was all manipulative and she’ s acting all sad now.
” Some two days ago, the wife of the governor was in Ondo State, insulting everybody that they are bush people. A week ago, she met with some members of the House of Assembly. And now we’ re finding out tonight that Akeredolu didn’ t die in Germany.
