Dr. Oyegoke Pays Tribute to Late Community Leader, Chief Job Kolawole Awoniyi

Owo, Ondo State — The Provost of Margaret Mosunmola College of Health Science and Technology, Owo, Dr. Temidayo Oyegoke, has released a heartfelt tribute in honour of the late Chief Job Kolawole Awoniyi, a respected elder, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

In the message, Dr. Oyegoke described the late Chief Awoniyi as “a pillar of strength and a true son of Ute,” noting that his life was firmly rooted in faith, family values, and service to his community. According to him, the patriarch’s guidance, love, and wisdom shaped the lives of those around him.

While expressing sadness over his passing, Dr. Oyegoke stated that the family takes solace in the belief that Chief Awoniyi “slept in the Lord and has found eternal rest.”

He added that the late elder’s legacy remains alive in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who continue to draw inspiration from the exemplary life he lived.

“Thank you, Papa, for your love and the profound example you set. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten,” the Provost said.

Chief Job Kolawole Awoniyi is remembered by family, friends, and the entire Ute community as a man of honour, humility, and deep commitment to humanity.

He has been laid to rest in accordance with Christian rites.
