President Tinubu began by recognizing the global nature of the economic challenges, expressing his awareness of the rising living costs affecting Nigerians. One notable proposal is the provision of N25, 000 monthly for three months to 15 million households. This financial assistance is designed to alleviate the immediate financial burden faced by a significant portion of the population. Tinubu stressed the importance of supporting businesses and ensuring the availability and affordability of staple foods, essential for every Nigerian family.
Addressing the concerns arising from the fuel subsidy removal, President Tinubu unveiled a tax waiver for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) purchases and diesel.
