In addition, Ismail Olaolu, a resident of the village, revealed to Vanguard that a search party, mostly comprising village youth, discovered Baale’ s decapitated body on Friday, November 1, concealed with palm leaves. The investigation swiftly focused on Baale’ s son, who had been with him at the farm on the day of his disappearance.
Upon being questioned, the son purportedly confessed to the gruesome murder, leaving the community in shock.
Near the body of the deceased on the farm, the police found the victim’ s motorcycle and cocoa harvest, which suggested that the murder may have been motivated by a desire to steal his possessions. The suspect, who was the deceased’ s son, was subsequently taken into custody and handed over to the police for further investigation and questioning.
