Suspected Killers Exposed Days After Unilorin Graduate Was Hacked To Death; Investigation Reveals Surprising Details
The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of five suspects in relation to the alleged manslaughter of a University of Ilorin graduate, Lanre Adebayo, by law enforcement officers in the Ita- Elepa district of Ilorin, the state’ s capital city.
Contrary to initial reports indicating that two female suspects were part of the group arrested, DSP Ejire Adeyemi Toun, the spokesperson for the police command, has confirmed that all five suspects are, in fact, male individuals.
Previous attempts to contact the police spokesperson were unsuccessful, as numerous calls and text messages sent to her mobile phone went unanswered and abortive.
Adebayo, a 46- year- old graduate of political science from the University of Ilorin, was reportedly murdered on Sunday in the Ita- Elepa area of Ilorin metropolis by local security operatives, who were apparently functioning as community vigilantes.

Taken into custody by police officers on Tuesday, they were promptly transported to the Kwara State Police Criminal Investigation Department Headquarters in Ilorin for further questioning and investigation.
Lanre was purportedly killed on Sunday in Ita- Elepa, within the Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State, amidst an intense verbal altercation between him and the community security personnel while he was on hai way to his residence.
