TRUTH REVEALED! Simon Ekpa Drops BOMBSHELL As Okonjo- Iweala Speaks On Helping Biafra Secure $57. 5 Billion Loan From IMF
The Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government In- Exile, Simon Ekpa, has strongly denied claims that he stated the World Bank, through former Nigerian Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo- Iweala, agreed to loan the Biafra Government $57. 5 billion. Ekpa made his position clear in a statement on Thursday, addressing the false information spreading online.
The controversy started when a fake statement, allegedly from an impersonated X (formerly Twitter) account of Ekpa, suggested that the World Bank had approved a massive loan to support the Biafra movement. Okonjo- Iweala, who now serves as the Director General of the World Trade Organization, quickly responded to the false report through her official X handle, distancing herself from the claims.
” I know no sensible person will believe what is contained in the outrageous tweet, but in these troubled times, it is important to underscore that the statement is false. Again, I enjoin all those seeking to misuse my name to desist, ” Okonjo- Iweala said in her response to the fake tweet.
Reacting to Okonjo- Iweala’ s statement, Simon Ekpa firmly denied ever making such a comment regarding the World Bank loan. He emphasized that the claims are completely false and fabricated.
” I never tweeted such. It is even surprising that you can tweet this because your name was mentioned. We have been tweeting about the terrorism in Nigeria against your people, and you never responded nor showed any remorse, ” Ekpa said in his statement.
Ekpa also criticized Okonjo- Iweala for addressing the false claims about her name but staying silent on the violence happening in Nigeria. He accused her of being quick to defend her integrity but not speaking up against the killings happening under the Nigerian government, which she once served.
” Here you are, defending what nonentities did with your name, but have been mute about all the killings by the government you served. I congratulate you for always defending yourself and your integrity, even when they are photoshopped. It shows you are a mother, ” Ekpa added.
He concluded by reiterating that he never made any comment about a World Bank loan for Biafra and described the entire claim as fake and false
