SHOCKING! Pastor Eaten By Crocodiles While Attempting To Show That He Can Also Walk On Water
A tragic incident occurred in the White River Mpumalanga region, involving a pastor who attempted to replicate a Biblical miracle. Pastor Jonathan Mthethwa of the Saint of the Last Days Church attempted to walk on water in the Crocodile River, a body of water known for being infested with crocodiles. The Herald Zimbabwe reported the incident, which took place on Saturday, May 13, 2017.
Pastor Mthethwa had reportedly gathered his congregation near the river, confident in his ability to perform the same miracle described in the Bible, where Jesus walked on water.
He believed his faith would allow him to cross the river without sinking, and he shared his intentions with his followers.
As witnesses recounted, the pastor’ s attempt to demonstrate his faith ended in tragedy. Upon stepping into the river, Mthethwa was immediately attacked by three crocodiles that appeared from the water.
The crocodiles dragged him beneath the surface and, in a horrifying spectacle, devoured him as the shocked congregation looked on, unable to intervene.
Deacon Nkosi, a member of the church who was present, later spoke to The Herald, sharing his disbelief at the sudden turn of events. ” The pastor had preached about faith the previous Sunday, ” Nkosi said. ” He told us he would show us a miracle, just like Jesus did. We thought he would succeed, but instead, we saw him being eaten by the crocodiles. ”
The congregation had reportedly been told that the pastor had prepared himself spiritually for the demonstration, fasting and praying for a week prior to the attempt. ” We are still in shock, ” Nkosi continued. ” He fasted the entire week, so we don’ t understand why this happened. He had such strong faith, but the crocodiles got him almost immediately. “
