SHOCKING! See TRAGIC Moment Angry Mob Went Wild, Set Ablaze Native Doctor For Doing This
In the annals of history, there have been many cases of mob violence and lynching over alleged crimes or blasphemy. One such incident occurred on Tuesday night in Cross River State, Nigeria, where an angry mob burned a native doctor to death inside his shrine for murder.
The native doctor, Ette Okon Friday, was accused of killing his tenant, Itoro Titus, a commercial motorcyclist (okadaman), by slashing his throat with a machete. The motive behind the murder was unclear, but some sources said it was related to a ritual or a dispute over money.
Rita Emmanuel, who is the cousin of the killed okadaman, said that the problem began when the okadaman’ s wife, Ndarake, fell sick a week ago after delivering a baby that passed away a few hours later. The late Titus was looking for a remedy for her condition, when his landlord offered to help.
Emmanuel said: ” On Tuesday morning, my cousin’ s wife had convulsions and his landlord said he could heal it. So Itoro went to his mother from whom he got N5, 000, then gave the money to the landlord to cure the woman. ”
However, instead of treating the woman, the native doctor allegedly lured Titus to his shrine and attacked him with a machete. He then dragged his body to a nearby bush and tried to dispose of it. Some residents who saw the bloodstains on the ground alerted the police, who arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect
The news of the murder spread quickly in the community, and a mob of angry youths gathered at the police station, demanding that the native doctor be handed over to them. They overpowered the police and snatched the suspect from their custody. They then marched to his shrine, where they set him and his belongings on fire.
The police spokesperson, Irene Ugbo, confirmed the incident. She also appealed to the public to refrain from taking the law into their own hands and allow the police to do their job.
The incident drew condemnation from human rights groups and civil society organizations, who have called for justice for the victims and an end to mob justice in Nigeria. They have also urged the government to address the root causes of violence and insecurity in the country, such as poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, and superstition.
Mob justice is a crime against humanity and a threat to democracy and peace. It must be stopped and prevented by all means possible. The perpetrators must be brought to justice and the victims must be compensated and rehabilitated. The government, the media, the civil society, and the religious leaders must work together to educate the public about the dangers of mob justice and the importance of respecting the rule of law and human rights. Only then can we hope to create a safer and more harmonious world for everyone.
