The discovery, which was made on Monday, January 25, moved resident of Ugwuaji Area in Enugu to tears, shock, when three decomposing bodies and a human skull were found buried in shallow graves within the foundation of a supposed church building.
The discovery, made late on that Monday evening by local youths following police instructions, left the Enugu community fearful, in shock and in tears.
The ownership of the building wasn’ t ascertained at the time of the corpse discovery and there had been conflicting reports suggesting it might belong to either a church or a businessman.
The corpses were buried in the foundation, covered with concrete and blocks, and were unearthed after a worker at the construction site alerted the police.
The worker revealed that the bodies were buried before the foundation was completed.
