December Turns Bloody As Daredevil Armed Robbers Raid Banks, Kill Several Customers (Video)
On Wednesday evening, armed robbery assaults took place at two new- generation banks in Ikere- Ekiti, which is located in the state of Ekiti. It is reported that three people were killed in these incidents.
It was reported by sources that the armed robbers carried out their attack at around 4. 30 p. m. , using bomb to blow the doors off of the banks, and then stole an undisclosed amount of money.
As captured in a video that has gone viral on social media, residents could be seen running for their lives as gunmen shoot sporadically.
At the time that this report was written, it was learned that the armed robbers caused serious damage to the banks. The cars that were parked in the bank premises were destroyed and other properties worth millions of naira.
During the time that the robbery was taking place, the town’ s social and commercial activities were shutdown for several hours because residents and vehicles were unable to move about.
An eyewitness who talked with reporters on Wednesday evening said that the armed robbers injured several customers, but the information on the number of fatalities has not yet been revealed.
According to the source, he saw a dead person that was covered in blood at the gate of one of the banks. The source also confirmed that the thieves also killed two other people in a different part of the town.
