When My HOD Returned, He Told Me To Meet Him In Office, He Held My Body And Tried To Kiss Me– Reverend Sister

Catholic nun Reverend Sister Anastasia Kinse has shared another account of alleged sexual harassment, this time recounting an incident she said took place while she was at Veritas University in Abuja. Her latest disclosure builds upon her previous statements about similar experiences during her time at the Congregation of Mother of Perpetual Help of the Archangels Sisters in Auchi Diocese, Edo State.

In an emotional interview with Arise News, Rev. Sr. Kinse narrated how she approached her Head of Department for help in finding employment, only for the encounter to turn inappropriate. According to her, the academic official invited her to his private office under the guise of a routine discussion. “When we got there, he suddenly came at me, trying to kiss me and touching my body,” she recounted tearfully. “It was a very terrible experience. I was frozen and didn’t know what to do.”

The nun described the ordeal as emotionally scarring and said it left her in shock for days. At the time, she had been seeking job stability and guidance, not expecting such a betrayal from a person in authority.

Rev. Sr. Kinse revealed that after she publicly disclosed her experiences, she was suspended by the Congregation of Mother of Perpetual Help of the Archangels Sisters. She claimed the action was taken because she refused to stay silent about the harassment she endured. According to her, repeated appeals for the matter to be addressed internally were ignored, forcing her to speak out in public in search of justice and to raise awareness about misconduct within religious and academic institutions.
