Tatari raised concerns regarding the market’ s overcrowded conditions and inadequate access roads, which he believes contributed to the fire’ s rapid spread before firefighters arrived on the scene. In light of this incident, he urged the state government to take action to remove structures that hinder movement and drainage within the market.
Security personnel from the Department of State Services and the Nigeria Police Force were deployed to ensure the safety of the area following the incident. The presence of these authorities aimed to maintain order and prevent any further complications in the aftermath of the fire.
Overall, the fire incident at Kantin Kwari not only caused property damage but also raised significant concerns about the safety and organization of the market. There is a clear need for the government and local authorities to address these issues to prevent future occurrences and ensure the well- being of traders and customers alike.
