The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the incident in a statement shared with members of the press on Wednesday. Reports indicated that Lawal was attacked at around 11: 00 p. m. as he made his way home from his workshop. He had just alighted from a bus at the Sasure Bus Stop and was crossing the road when the two suspects on a motorcycle allegedly approached and shot him. The spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, revealed that two members of the community, who were close friends of the deceased, rushed to the Idi- Oke Police Division to report the incident. ” The victim was reportedly returning from his workshop when the suspects allegedly shot him in the head, ” Odutola stated.
