Bandits Leader Bello Turji On The RUN As Battle Against Terrorists Got Worsen; SEE Where His Hiding
The notorious bandit kingpin, Bello Turji, who has been a major threat to the peace and security of Nigeria’ s North West region, appears to be running out of time as his current location has been identified. Turji, who was first declared wanted by Nigeria’ s Defence Headquarters (DHQ) in November 2022, has been responsible for countless acts of terrorism and violence, including mass killings, kidnappings, and other forms of banditry across the region. In March 2024, the DHQ renewed its efforts by re- declaring him wanted, placing a bounty of N5 million on his head.
In recent developments, General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, has given Nigerians hope by stating that the countdown is on for Turji’ s capture. General Musa assured the public that the Nigerian military is closing in on Turji, and that his arrest is imminent. Echoing this, Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal also expressed confidence that Turji’ s reign of terror will soon come to an end, vowing that the bandit leader would soon be killed or captured.
According to renowned counter- insurgency expert and security analyst, Zagazola Makama, Bello Turji and his fighters have relocated from their former hideouts near Tsafe and have crossed over to Munhaye in Zamfara State. This new intelligence further narrows down the location of the fugitive and brings security forces closer to tracking him down.
The Nigerian military, alongside regional authorities, continues its relentless pursuit of Turji, seeking to dismantle his criminal network and restore peace to the North West. As the military closes in on the bandit leader, the hope is that his arrest or death will bring much- needed relief to the people who have long suffered under his reign of terror.
