Middle- aged Woman Dies After Failed Butt Enlargement In Lagos, Police Arrest Suspect; See Details
The Lagos State Police Command has taken a nurse into custody in connection with the death of 36- year- old Abiola, who underwent a botched butt- lifting procedure allegedly performed by the nurse. The incident is currently under investigation, and the police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding Abiola’ s death.

Reacting to the incident, the Superintendent of Police, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police spokesman, verified the arrest of the nurse to the press, providing additional details about the case. According to Hundeyin, the Maroko Police Division received a report on Tuesday at approximately 11: 40 am from the driver of the deceased, whose identity remains undisclosed.
This report led to the nurse’ s arrest, marking a significant step in the investigation into Abiola’ s death following the botched cosmetic procedure. The police are likely to continue gathering evidence and questioning the nurse to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin stated that the deceased’ s driver reported Abiola had requested to be taken to a clinic in Lekki Phase 1 for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure around 3 am on Monday.
” On arrival, the owner of the clinic (not mentioned), instructed a nurse to inject the now- deceased lady, who later became unconscious and started gasping for breath. The victim was rescued and rushed to another hospital in Lekki Phase 1 for treatment, where she was confirmed d#ad by the doctor on duty. Based on the report, the scene was visited by a team of detectives.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin went on to say that the police visited the hospital, where they inspected and photographed Abiola’ s corpse before transporting it to a public morgue for an autopsy. He also added that the nurse involved in the botched procedure has been arrested and that the investigation is ongoing.
