The suspects, Fatai Adisa, 35, and Azeez Adisa, were caught red- handed at the Atan Cemetery, located in the mechanic village area of Ayobo, Lagos, in the early hours of the morning, sparking widespread outrage and condemnation.
According to reports, the duo broke into the grave with the intention of removing human remains, a heinous act that has left many in the community reeling. Their nefarious activities were thwarted by vigilant security guards who caught them in the act, prompting a swift response from the police. The guards promptly contacted the police, leading to the arrest and detention of the suspects at the Ayobo Division station for further interrogation.
Following a thorough and rigorous investigation, the police found the suspects culpable of the crime, as they admitted to committing the offense and claimed that they intended to use the human skull for undisclosed ritual purposes.
