BOMBSHELL! Aisha Yusufu Sends Explosive Message To Jonathan, Buhari, Gowon After Tinubu Invited Them To Aso- Rock
Aisha Yusufu, a well- known political activist and one of the conveners of the #BringBackOurGirls movement, has expressed strong criticism following the recent vote of confidence passed in President Bola Tinubu by former presidents, governors, and other key figures during a Council of State meeting.
Yusufu shared her opinion on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, as cited by LATEST_NEWS Blog. In her post, she wrote: ” If incompetence and failure needed pictorial representation. Under each, the worst Nigeria had been and needed successor to be worse to now be competent to citizens who gauge governance based on how much they could buy bag of rice yesterday. ”
This statement reflects her dissatisfaction with the current state of governance in Nigeria, emphasizing her view that the nation’ s leadership has not improved.
The Council of State meeting, held on Tuesday, was attended by former presidents Muhammadu Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan in person, along with other former presidents who joined virtually.
At the end of the meeting, the attendees unanimously passed a vote of confidence in President Tinubu. This was announced by Dele Alake, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, during a briefing at the State House in Abuja.
Alake noted that several important issues were discussed during the meeting, with presentations made by various ministers on their achievements and challenges in their respective sectors. He emphasized that the ministers’ presentations were well- received, leading to the collective decision to express confidence in the president’ s leadership.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, who chairs the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), echoed this sentiment, confirming that the NGF members also passed a vote of confidence in President Tinubu. He stated that the presentations by members of the Federal Executive Council were satisfactory, reinforcing their support for the current administration.
Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, provided an update on the progress of the Tinubu administration’ s macroeconomic policies. He highlighted the positive economic growth, stabilization of the exchange rate, and a promising outlook for the future. Edun also emphasized the ongoing support for the economy from both foreign and domestic investors, particularly in infrastructure projects.
In conclusion, the Council of State meeting ended on a note of optimism from government officials. However, Aisha Yusufu’ s sharp critique underscores a significant disconnect between the administration’ s self- assessment and the views of some citizens, who remain skeptical about the government’ s competence and effectiveness.
