Cultists Show No Mercy, Hunt Down Son Of Community Leader, See What They Did To Him
A middle- aged man who goes by the name, Fatai Kehinde, a 48- year- old PoS operator, was mercilessly murdered by some suspected cultists under the Kuto bridge in Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun state over the weekend, precisely on Friday night.
It was said that attackers who followed the PoS operator, known by his nickname Faithy and also known as the son of the Baale of Kuto Community, Abeokuta, from his store within Kuto Market to under bridge where they assassinated him.
Shockingly, the murder is reported to have occurred shortly after the approximately four days interval after the gruesome murder of a different young man who worked as a barber at Isale Oja Kuto.
Reporters concluded that since the attackers used the same car as the barber’ s murderers had used on Friday, the victims were probably murdered by the same cult rival group.
It was said that Faithy was buried on Saturday, 10th August 2024 at around 2: 00 pm.
Talking with the reporter on Saturday, a trustworthy Kuto community source who refused to give his identity claimed that, ” the killing happened last night at about 11 pm” .
” He is popularly called Faithy, he is the son of Baale of Kuto. He operates a POS shop and was about to close for the day when his killers drove to his shop” .
The source went on to say that, ” one of them was said to have pretended to be a customer that wanted to withdraw money, about three other guys who wore masks then came out and shot at their target” .
” However, the shot was said not to have penetrated and so he tried to escape by taking to his heels but his assailants caught up with him under Kuto bridge and butchered him to death” .
” It’ s possible that the assailants who killed Faithy were the same gang who murdered the barber at Isale Oja Kuto about four days ago because we gathered that the assailants used the same jeep vehicle for their dastardly act” , he asserted.
Reacting to the heinous act of the unknown killers of the deceased, CP Abiodun Alamutu, the Commissioner of Police, acknowledged the depressing and ugly event on Saturday as well while urging his men to dive into action as soon as possible in order to hunt down the perpetrators and expose them so that they can pay dearly for their crimes.
The CP added that, ” the command is aware of the two incidents and efforts are ongoing to apprehend those behind the killings” .
