BREAKING! Aso Rock On FIRE As VP Shettima Reportedly Vows To Fight Tinubu; SEE Details
In a surprising revelation, Jackson Ude, a former aide to ex- President Goodluck Jonathan and an independent journalist, has alleged a significant conflict between Nigeria’ s President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The claims, which have sparked considerable attention, were made public through a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, as cited by the LATEST_NEWS Blog.
Ude’ s post alleged that Vice President Shettima is prepared to confront President Tinubu over a series of political appointments. According to Ude, Shettima is particularly upset about the possibility of the President appointing Northern minorities to key political positions, which he believes would undermine his influence and authority within the administration.
The post read: ” VP KASHIM VOWS TO FIGHT TINUBU OVER POLITICAL APPOINTMENTS! Vice President Kashim Ibrahim is vowing to fight President Bola Tinubu dirty and stop the appointment of Northern minorities being considered by the President for political appointments. ”
In a reported conversation intercepted by Ude, Shettima allegedly accused President Tinubu of sidelining him by attempting to appoint individuals from the North East region who are either unknown to him or opposed to his political agenda.
The Vice President is reportedly concerned that some of his ministerial nominees might be replaced by those outside his political camp, which has intensified his dissatisfaction.
” The VP is not a happy man. Aside from feeling marginalized in the Presidency, he is also unhappy that not only are his nominees under the threat of sack but those to replace them are not in his camp. He said he would fight to finish if he is pushed. And the VP I know, is a fighter. He will do it, ” the insider reportedly said.
As the situation continues to develop, the Nigerian public remains keenly interested in the potential fallout from this alleged rift at the highest levels of government.
