Oladimeji Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, has finally spoken out following allegations from his son’s wife, Wunmi, that he wanted her son, Liam’s placenta when he was born.
Omowunmi Aloba, the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad’s wife, previously stated why she grew separated from her father-in-law.
Omowunmi revealed before the Lagos coroner’s inquest on Tuesday that her relationship with her father-in-law deteriorated after the birth of her son, Liam.
She went on to say that their relationship was strained because she refused to give him the placenta of her son, Liam.
Mohbad’s wife stated that she denied because her husband had instructed her to do so when she inquired about Joseph’s request.
Mohbad’s father responded to Wunmi’s charges with a song on social media.
Joseph begged God to have pity on him because people were making disparaging remarks about him on social media. He sung in Yoruba, which is roughly translated to English as follows:
“God please have mercy on me. They said I asked for the placenta of my own grandson. Doesn’t the son belong to the father? I don’t know what they said I did that they keep talking about me everywhere? May Adabi judge between us.”
