One of the victims of the police brutality on protesters in Abuja narrated his ordeal. It was made known that the shooting started near the National Hospital and when they (the protesters) realized that the police were shooting directly at them, they ran away and later mobilized themselves and gathered at the National Stadium where the police embarked on another face of shooting.
The victim further explained that they (the protesters) regrouped themselves and stormed the National Stadium where the Muslims observed their prayers. The police started again by firing teargas and this time, the protesters started asking the police about their offense, they even begged the officers to stop attacking them but yet they did not listen.
The victim said one of the officers shot him directly in the head, he said he did not know if he intended to kill him or something. All he knew was that he fainted and when he woke up, he saw the police hitting protesters with iron and big woods. They had to run into bushes and he found his way back to somewhere he knew. The victim condemned the action of the police towards them, he said it was very bad, all because they were asking for good governance.
