#EndBadGovt! SEE People Simon Ekpa Vowed To Kill In Lagos As Thugs Threaten Traders Not To Join Protest
A video surfaced on social media platforms, including X (formerly known as Twitter), showing thugs warning market women in Lagos not to come out and protest against President Bola Tinubu’ s government in the upcoming #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria demonstration.
This has sparked reactions from various quarters, including a strong response from Simon Ekpa, a self- proclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile who warned that anyone who want to kill Biafrans will be taken down first.
Ekpa responded with a stern warning to those who might harm Biafrans in Lagos. In his statement, Ekpa declared, ” Warning to Nigerians that want to kill Biafrans in Lagos. Those planning to attack Biafrans in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria are hereby warned and must understand that Biafra has a government that is ruthlessly protecting Biafrans all over Nigeria. ”
He emphasized that Biafrans have a network of Resistance Fighters spread across Nigeria, not just in Biafraland. ” You must understand that our Resistance Fighters are not only in Biafraland; our reserves are everywhere, and it will remain so. You don’ t have the monopoly of violence. The planned attack on Biafrans in Lagos will be resisted like never in history, ” Ekpa stated.
Ekpa’ s message also conveyed a readiness for self- defense: ” I just want you to understand that we are all mad, and our madness is for self- preservation, and that is the difference. You will be taken down before you kill any Biafran in Lagos. ”
In a related development, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has revealed plans to involve the Armed Forces if necessary during the planned nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests.

This was disclosed during a Zoom meeting with prominent human rights lawyers Femi Falana (SAN) and Ebun- Olu Adegboruwa (SAN), the Take- It- Back Movement, representatives of the Nigerian Bar Association, and various civil society organizations. The meeting was monitored by SaharaReporters.
Egbetokun explained that the military would only be deployed if the situation escalates beyond control. He recalled the events of the 2020 #EndSARS protests, stating, ” For those people who are threatening violence, most of them are faceless. Most of them remain faceless. And for those of them that we have been able to trace, we have picked some of them up; they are already in our detention. ”
He mentioned that a person who was instigating violence by encouraging people to bomb public places and burn down police stations was recently arrested. ” We arrested one yesterday who was threatening violence, who was instigating people to go and bomb public places and burn down police stations. We have such in our custody, ” Egbetokun said.
Regarding the potential involvement of the military, Egbetokun clarified, ” The military is not going to come out to provide security during this protest. The military will only come out when the situation gets out of hand. What happened during the #EndSARS, the military did not just come out. We have forgotten that five police stations were burnt down in one day before the government of Lagos announced a curfew. ”
SaharaReporters also reported that the organizers of the planned nationwide protest had rejected the police’ s proposal for a confined protest. According to the IGP, the protest scheduled for August should be confined for security reasons and to prevent miscreants from hijacking it. ” It is not advisable to go on street processions because as you are planning peaceful protests, some are planning violence, ” Egbetokun cautioned.
However, this proposal was strongly opposed by the participants of the meeting, who viewed it as a violation of their constitutional right to assembly.
Adegboruwa, representing the Take It Back Movement, affirmed that the venues specified to the police would be used as meeting points but insisted that Nigerians would not be confined there during the 10- day protests.
