BUSTED! Tinubu, APC Deceived Us, Promised Us N5, 000 To Protest Against #EndBadGovt Protesters; Abuja Women Cry Out [VIDEO]
A video has surfaced on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, showing women crying after being allegedly deceived by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The women were reportedly mobilized by the APC to stage a counter- protest against the planned August 1 #EndBadGovt demonstration. According to the viral video, over 400 women were promised N5000 each to participate in the protest but were later abandoned without payment.
The video, which has been widely shared across various social media platforms, reveals the women’ s frustration and disappointment. One of the women in the video claimed that after the demonstration in Abuja, the federal capital territory, they were left stranded without receiving the promised N5000. The women have now threatened to stage a real protest over the treatment they received.

Earlier reports by SaharaReporters indicated that the APC leaders had thrown over 400 Nigerian women into a state of lamentation in their bid to thwart the planned nationwide #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest.
The news outlet reported that some influential women leaders within the APC sent a circular to several Non- Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in Abuja, asking them to mobilize 50 women each to Eagle’ s Square in Abuja. The women were promised 50kg bags of rice as palliative measures.
The circular, forwarded to SaharaReporters by Esther Adelana, a member of the African Youth Union Commission, read, ” URGENT: Good day distinguished young active citizens, please if you are in Abuja and can make your way to Eagle Square tomorrow Saturday 9am for palliative distribution by one of our partners accompanied with transport logistics. We need fifty young women. ”
Adelana expressed her disappointment and frustration over the incident. She explained, ” A few days ago, some influential women leaders in APC sent a message to NGOs to send 50 delegates each to Eagle Square to receive 50kg of rice and some palliative for women. This message spread quickly among the NGO community, and almost all NGOs in Abuja received the circular. We mobilized women to Eagle Square, hoping they would receive what was promised. ”
Instead, the women were used as part of a propaganda effort by the APC, posing with banners that opposed the upcoming protest. Adelana added, ” The women thought it was an empowerment program, but the influential women from APC took pictures with them and left. The poor women didn’ t get anything- not a cup of rice or even transportation to return to their various destinations. They were used by APC to project their propaganda and were dumped afterward. The women came back cursing and wailing in their various groups. They were even threatened with DSS. ”
