Shocking! Son Machetes 100- Year- Old Father To Death Over N70, 000- See What Really Happened
The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, also known as So- Safe, has arrested Mathew Ifeanyi, a 38- year- old man, for allegedly killing his 100- year- old father, Anthony Nnadike, with a machete. The incident occurred in the Olorunda area, Eruobodo Ntabo, Ijoko, within the Ado- Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.
According to reports, Ifeanyi attacked his centenarian father because he could not retrieve N70, 000 that he had entrusted to his father since July 2022. The Commandant of So- Safe, Soji Ganzallo, revealed this information in a statement released on Wednesday through the Director of Information and Public Relations, Moruf Yusuf.
The statement explained that on Tuesday, August 29, Superintendent Alabi Gafar, the Divisional Officer of the Corps at the Alade/Atago/Ntabo Divisional Command, received information that a man was attacking his biological father with a cutlass at 11 Ibikunle Street, Diamond Estate, in the Olorunda area, Eruobodo Ntabo, Ijoko. The Divisional Command patrol team was immediately dispatched to rescue the victim and arrest the suspect.
When the patrol team arrived at the scene, they found that the victim had already been taken to the General Hospital due to the severe injuries he sustained. Unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead by the attending doctor.
During the preliminary investigation, Ifeanyi reportedly confessed to killing his father because he was frustrated over his father’ s inability to return the N70, 000. He claimed that he had resigned from his previous job to start a business but could not proceed because his father failed to provide the money.
The suspect has since been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force at the Sango Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and prosecution.
