Middle- aged Man Found DEAD & Dumped By Roadside By Unknown Killers Hours After Leaving Home To Attend School Graduation Party
Another horrifying incident was reported from Agbor, which is located Ika South Local Government Area LGA of Delta State, whereby a middle- aged man, precisely 33 years of age and identified by the name, Smart Meju was murdered in cold blood by an unidentified individuals.
Quite unfortunately, reporters learnt that the deceased was killed on Wednesday and that his corpse was disposed and dumped by roadside in Agbor town.
The deceased man’ s father, Mr. Innocent Meju, described and recounted the ugly incident to a news reporter, saying that his deceased son, Smart, never came back after leaving the house at around eight in the morning to participate in a graduation ceremony at one of the local schools.
Explaining further, he said, ” my son left on Wednesday morning, dressed very well for a graduation in one of the schools in the town. We waited endlessly for Smart throughout that day, he didn’ t return home, and the matter was reported to the police in Agbor for necessary action” .
” My son was doing phone business in Asaba. Because of his quest for education, he returned home to prepare for his movement outside the country to pursue his education. It’ s very unfortunate” , he noted.
In the meantime, three people have been detained in relation to the homicidal case, according to the Superintendent of Police, SP Bright Edafe, the state police public relations officer (PPRO), who verified the occurrence when reached for comments by news reporters.
He acknowledged the incident saying, ” It is not clear that they were the ones who killed the boy, but it was discovered that the deceased was last seen with them, and based on that, they were arrested. Police are still investigating the matter to know who and how he was killed” .
The PPRO also noted that no stone would be left unturned to unravel all circumstances surrounding this wicked act perpetrated by the killers of the deceased and justice would be served after which he expressed his sincere condolences to the family members of the deceased urging them to take heart as they mourn their beloved.
