Prior to the demonstration, renowned Nigerian musician Charles Oputa, better known by his stage name Charly Boy and sometimes referred to as Area Papa, expressed his faith in the country’ s youth.
In response to the protest reports, he declared his steadfast support for the young people. He reaffirmed his long- held conviction that they could effect change and said he was prepared to accompany them if they showed real determination.
