A posh Airbus A330 has apparently been purchased by the federal government for use by the president. Nigerians, who are currently dealing with varying degrees of poverty brought on by some policies of the Bola Tinubu administration, were outraged to learn that the government planned to buy a new presidential jet, according to Politics Nigeria.
The move was justified by the House of Representatives and senior government figures, who said that buying a new jet was more economical than keeping the existing ones in service. Empowered Newswire reported on Monday night that the plane is presently in France and has been sighted at a highly advanced stage of preparation.
The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria’ s seal is displayed on the tail registration of the aircraft. It had apparently been prepared for delivery. This airplane, registered as 5N-FGA, is an ACJ330-200, VP- CAC (msn 1053).
It has an office, conference room, eating area, and bedroom with a private bathroom at the front. There is also first-class and economy seating at the back, a la airline manner. According to reliable reports from news websites and international aviation companies, as of early July 15, 2024, Nigerian time, the aircraft has been flown from Germany to an airfield in Saint Louis, France. The Nigerian Presidential Seal and the
tail registration 5N-FGA of the presidential jet of Nigeria are currently affixed to the Airbus 330.
