No less than four police officers have been recognized by the security operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command after they were seen in public assaulted a civilian in a widely shared video.
The unprofessional act of the group of cops were shown in a live footage abusing a man in broad daylight, pushing him into a car, and then taking off with the victim which caused several social media users to seek for justice over the unacceptable actions of the suspected policemen over the innocent man.

Reacting to the unexpected and unpleasant experience, several eyewitnesses were also heard shouting on top of their voices in pidgin, ” Do you want to kill him? They did not find anything on him. Leave him” .
The officers in question are presently the subject of an inquiry, according to an announcement released on Tuesday, 9th July 2024 by the Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Mansir Hassan, the command’ s spokesman and public relations officer (PPRO).
Narratively, the press report read, ” the Kaduna State Police Command has responded to a trending video circulating on social media, showing officers assaulting a civilian in a manner unbecoming of officers. The incident took place in a known black spot in Kaduna South Local Government Area LGA” .
Police Commissioner, CP Audu Dabigi also denounced the incident in the press release, assuring the people that ” such misconduct will not be tolerated under his leadership” .
The CP has given an order to his men that a ” swift and thorough investigation” into the occurrence to make that justice is served and such incident doesn’ t repeat itself as it portrays a different image about the Nigerian Police Force which is highly unacceptable.
