JUNGLE JUSTICE? 5 Married Men Sentenced To Death By Hanging, SEE The Shocking Crime They Committed
In Owode- Ede, Osun State, Ibrahim Adamu was a Fulani herder who traded cows. For the kidnapping and murder of this man, five guys have received hanging sentences. This is a shocking development. The terrible incident has left the community in shock and mourning. With its decision on Tuesday, the Osun State High Court concluded the horrifying case that had begun on April 17, 2018. That fateful evening, at approximately 7: 45 p. m., Adamu was abducted from his home and taken to a distant location in his Toyota Corolla. Adamu’s family made heroic efforts to free him, even going so far as to pay a N3 million ransom, but in the end, he was brutally killed after his kidnappers discovered who they were. The five people convicted guilty of this heinous act are Bello Ibrahim, Abudu Mumini Jolaanobi Saheed, Lateef Bello, Ibrahim Issa, and Abdul Ramon Soliu. On October 28, 2021, they were first charged with conspiracy, kidnapping, and murder, all of which are violations of sections 324, 319, and 364 of the Osun State Criminal Code Laws.
They entered a not guilty plea, but the evidence against them was substantial. The Ministry of Justice’s chief prosecutor, Mr. Moses Faremi, presented a compelling case. He revealed that the group killed Adamu when he identified one of his kidnappers while he was being held captive. Three Togolese who are still at large and a well-known gang member named Abdu Mumini were given orders to slaughter Adamu, according to information provided to the court. A terrifying sequence of events occurred when Mumini took Adamu’s head and heart and Soliu took his arms.
Adamu’s remains were disposed of in the Osun River. Throughout the trial, Investigating Police Officer Mr. Ganiyu Taofeek presented important evidence, including extrajudicial statements and a mask used by the kidnappers that was found at the crime scene. Adamu’s testimony vividly described the events leading up to his death. He also revealed how the gang members split the money that was demanded as ransom. Justice Kudirat Akano ruled the men guilty on all counts, despite the pleas of Folashade Ipede of the Legal Aid Council and defense attorney Mr. Bola Ige, who contended that the prosecution had not proven the charges beyond a reasonable doubt.
When Justice Akano rendered her decision, she guaranteed that justice was served for the savage murder of Ibrahim Adamu by condemning all five criminals to hang death.
