In a chilling confession video recorded at the police station, Akande revealed that he was lured into the sinister plot by an accomplice, Ifa, who promised him a substantial sum of N100,000. Akande’ s role was to engage the services of the victim, a commercial sex worker, and bring her to his home, where the heinous crime would be carried out.
He narrated how he had previously engaged the victim’s services on multiple occasions, paying her N1, 000 each time. However, on the fateful night, he agreed to pay her N3, 000, unaware of the horrors that awaited her.

He went on to detail how he and his friend, ljebu, carried out the killing, with Ifa ultimately slaughtering the victim and collecting her blood in a calabash. Akande received N3, 000 for his involvement in the crime, a paltry sum compared to the gravity of the offense.
The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest and transfer of Akande to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further action.
