Julia Nuno, a 32-year-old resident of California, has invested nearly £20, 000 in tattoos, covering her entire body from head to toe.
This residential carer has spent £19, 530 on tattoos, dedicating 234 hours over the past three years to creating a full-body suit of ink.
Her journey began at 18 with a small hibiscus flower on her chest, but her passion for body art has since grown immensely.
Julia’s family has expressed concerns about her extensive tattooing, especially after she got her genital area inked earlier this month in Texas. She plans to tattoo her face next, the last untouched area, with geometric flowers.
“Julia explained, It’s taken me quite a while, I started getting tattooed as soon as I was old enough. Collecting them came a bit for me, it’s only over the last few years that I have been going constantly.”
For the past three years, Julia has visited tattoo parlours every fortnight, spending three hours each session adding to her collection. She admits that it’s the process of getting tattooed that keeps her returning.
“The sessions are really special to me, the art is nice, but it’s the actual tattooing sessions that I’m really addicted to. A lot of times I let the man who tattoos me pick the art, she said.
Despite her family’ s concerns, Julia feels compelled to continue her tattoo journey.
She acknowledges that while some people are put off by her extensive body art, others are fascinated and often approach her in the street to touch her skin.
“Julia added, The people I work with are very accepting and look past it, but I think some of my family have problems with how many tattoos I have.”
Julia’s dedication to her tattoos shows no signs of waning, as she plans to cover her face later this year and continue enhancing her existing body suit.
