OAU confirms release of students arrested by EFCC
Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State, has confirmed that 58 out of the 69 students who were arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have been released. According to the university’s Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Olarewaju, the remaining 11 students still have cases to answer with the EFCC. This release came after a meeting between the university’s management and the EFCC in Ibadan. The university emphasized that it would not obstruct the anti-graft agency from carrying out its investigation.
