Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has called on Nigerians to turn to God in these challenging times. Speaking at the RCCG headquarters in Ebute- Metta. during the June thanksgiving service, themed ‘Lifter Up of My Head,’ Adeboye emphasized the importance of seeking divine intervention for provision and relief from hardship.
Addressing the congregation on Sunday, Pastor Adeboye highlighted the difficulties faced by many Nigerians and urged them to invoke the name of Jehovah El- Shaddai, the God who is more than sufficient. “If you need provision, if things are hard and I know things are hard for quite a few of us call on the one whose name is Jehovah El-Shaddai, the God who is more than enough,” Adeboye advised.
He assured the faithful that God has numerous ways to meet their needs, no matter the circumstances. “Call on Him the one who is more than enough and He will meet your needs. He has many ways, depending on what your need is. When all ways are blocked, call on Him who is called the way when you don’t even know what’s going on.”
This plea for spiritual recourse comes at a time when Nigeria is grappling with significant economic challenges. The Nigerian government, however, has remained firm in its stance, offering a significantly lower figure of N60, 000 as the new minimum wage.
