Military Operation Eliminates Bandits’ Leader and Two Associates in Kebbi
Soldiers conducting operations in the Sangeko forest of Danko Wasagu Local Government Area, Kebbi State, have successfully eliminated a notorious bandit leader known as Mainasara and two of his gang members.
The bandit kingpin and his gang had been responsible for numerous deadly attacks on communities in the southern part of Kebbi State until they were confronted and neutralized by the soldiers operating in the region.
AbdulRahman Usman, the Director of Security at the Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi, provided this information to the press on Tuesday. He explained that the troops, during a routine patrol within Sengeko forest, encountered the bandits, resulting in a fierce gun battle that led to the elimination of their leader and two other gang members.
Furthermore, two of the bandits’ motorcycles were recovered and subsequently destroyed before the troops returned to their station at FOB Malekachi.
