WHAAAT? 17 Soldiers Were Not Killed In Okuama Village- Community Leader Shocks Nigerians; SEE Where They Were Slaughtered
Community leaders from Okuama- Ewu in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State have vehernently refuted claims that 17 military personnel met their demise in their vicinity.
According to these leaders, the soldiers tragically lost their lives near the Forcados River while journeying back to their military base in Bomadi, situated in Bornadi Local Government Area
Bernard Esegba, the Secretary- General of Okuama- Ewu community, conveyed this stance in a sworn statement submitted as part of a N151 billion lawsuit against various governmental entities at the Federal High Court in Warri.

Esegba recounted that on March 14,
the military convened a meeting with Okuama community leaders and requested immediate accompaniment to their base in Bomadi. However, when community leaders proposed to visit independently, an altercation ensued, resulting in casualties among the community elders and leaders. Esegba emphasized that the military’ s departure from Okuama was uneventful and devoid of any community-led attacks. He stated, ” When the 3rd respondent’s personnel got to our Okuama community on March 14, 2024, they were warmly received.
“After the warm reception the third respondent’ s personnel demanded our community chairman and other leaders. Our community leaders politely appealed.
Instead of acceding to the polite request, some over- zealous personnel of the third respondent began shooting sporadically during which some of our community elders and leaders were shot dead, while others were seriously injured.”
Furthermore, Esegba asserted that the subsequent assault on Okuama community by military forces, purportedly ordered in retaliation for the Forcados River incident, resulted in further devastation. He stated, Following the killing of the said personnel of the third respondent along the Forcados River the fifth respondent ordered an attack on our community (Okuama) from March 15, 2024, to about March 25, 2024.
He continued, “The third and fifth respondents’ personnel invaded our community and assaulted, battered, maimed, shelled, shot and cold- bloodedly murdered unarmed and defenceless members of our community and destroyed our properties. The affidavit provided a detailed account of the events surrounding the alleged military incursion and the ensuing ramifications for Okuama- Ewu community. It underscores the community’ s plea for justice and
accountability in the face of these
grievous circumstances.
